The 9.11 Victory Concert of Worship

September 11, 2001 remains a significant time for many of us even 25 years later.

On the 25th Observance of 9.11, It is our desire as a gathered community to exalt the Lord who has been a faithful help in times of trouble and our enduring hope for years to come. 

On Friday, September 11, 2026, join us throughout the day.

8:45am - A moment of silence followed by a presentation of Bach's Eb Prelude & Fugue (based on "O God Our Help in Ages Past") at the Howell First Presbyterian Church,  organist Dr. Rose Stevens. This will be a victorious, God-given completion of the song begun 25 years ago at this very time on 9.11 at Hill Auditorium, U-M, Ann Arbor.

4:00pm - A community picnic on the lawn of the Howell Carnegie Library

6:30pm - A Military Honor Ceremony, the lawn of the Howell Carnegie Library

7:10pm - A Candlelight Procession to the Howell First Presbyterian Church

7:30pm - A Victory Concert of Worship led by a gathered Choir & Instrumental Ensemble at the Howell First Presbyterian Church

The concert of worship will include moments of inspiration through powerfully presented songs such as Battle Hymn of the Republic, well-known corporate hymns and praise songs, scriptures and testimonies - all which are intended to help us move from heartache to healing as we recall the goodness of the Lord.
